Steward's Report
A pre–race sample was unable to be obtained from Super Potato, a post-race sample was taken.
Our Last Summer, Little Zoom and Wirrulla Harry were quick to begin.
Sergeant Alf (galloped on and fell turning out of the back straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a sacro-iliac injury, a thoraco-lumbar injury, abrasions to the right hind and a right back muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Wirrulla Harry (racing manner home straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have right foreleg shin soreness. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Adrian Kenyon regarding the racing manners of Wirrulla Harry in the home straight. After hearing submissions from Mr. Kenyon, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections.
