Steward's Report
Synchronised – Late scratching at 8:50am when Mark Keane reported the greyhound to have a left hind toe injury (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.
This event was rescheduled to start at 3.19pm.
Funky Faun was quick to begin. Saint Jack was slow to begin.
Saint Jack (Racing manners entering the home straight), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the right hind leg. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr P. Byrne regarding the racing manners of Saint Jack entering the home straight. After hearing submissions from Mr Byrne, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections.
