Steward's Report
Draconian – Late scratching at 1.01pm due to non–arrival (GAR 86 and LR 39). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Mrs S Quinlan informed Stewards that she had a vehicle breakdown on–route to the track. Stewards advised Mrs S Quinlan that evidence of the breakdown will need to be submitted, to the satisfaction of Stewards, within 72 hours of the occurrence that caused the non–arrival. The matter will be re–evaluated upon receipt of this evidence.
A pre–race sample was taken from Perfect Timing.
Hidden Stones, Elite Blazer and Black Jester were quick to begin. Hamblin Bale was slow to begin.
Perfect Timing - racing manners home turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 9. Perfect Timing was found to have a right tricep muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to representative Mr G. Turnbull regarding the racing manners of Perfect Timing on the home turn. After hearing submissions from Mr G. Turnbull, viewing the available race footage ( no head on footage available ) and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections.
