An out of competition sample was taken from Rowdan on 20/7/2023 pursuant to GAR 139.
Devil's Noir – New declared weight of 28.7kg, last raced at 30.0kg.
A pre–race sample was taken from Boon Boy.
Boon Boy was slow to begin.
Boon Boy faltered and pulled up on the home turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a fractured humerus. Boon Boy was humanely euthanised.
Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track in the home turn and deemed it satisfactory for racing.
