A sample was taken from Bernardo's Baby upon arrival at the course.
Circle The Sky was slow to begin.
Bernardo's Baby (turned its head to the outside approaching the winning post) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following event 12 - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr B. Stockdale regarding Bernardo's Baby’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Bernardo's Baby was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Stockdale pleaded guilty to the charge. Bernardo's Baby was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
