Brodies Tiger was quick to begin. 

Master Eduardo (eased approaching the winning post) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right flexor tendon injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr T.Whitford regarding Master Eduardo’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Master Eduardo was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Whitford pleaded guilty to the charge. Master Eduardo was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Blackpool Monaro (severely checked approaching the winning post) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hock sprain. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Bow Now (lost ground and tailed off approaching the home turn) underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Trainer Mr Brent Merton declined the option to have the greyhound re–examined.

Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr B.Merton regarding Bow Now’s racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Bow Now was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Merton pleaded guilty to the charge. Bow Now was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Brodies Tiger underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a cervico-thoracic injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Ms A.Manning regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post. After hearing evidence from Ms Manning, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their own observations, Stewards issued took no further action. In arriving at this decision, Stewards took into careful consideration that Blackpool Monaro was severely checked to the outside of the Brodies Tiger and the effect this incident would reasonably have had on the racing manners of Brodies Tiger. Stewards were of the belief that the option to charge Brodies Tiger under the failing to pursue rules was open to them, but declined to do so in the belief that this would be contrary to the intention and spirit of the rules.

Ramelius and Miss Pinky Paws were slow to begin. 

A post–race sample was taken from Miss Ivy May – the winner of the event. 

A pre–race sample was taken from Bok Choy. 

Iliopsoas and Cruising Jack were slow to begin. 

A post–race sample was taken from Sunshine Jack – the winner of the event. 

What A Suprise – Late scratching at 9:52am when Trainer Ms N.Lund reported the greyhound to have a toe injury (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.

Naomi Butterfly – Late scratching at 1:44pm due to weight variation (GAR 101). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr J.Abela was fined $100.

A sample was taken from Urana Fernando upon arrival at the course.

Urana Fernando underwent a veterinary examination prior to racing and was passed fit to race.

Dashing Mini was quick to begin. 

Mcivor Jack was slow to begin. 

A post–race sample was taken from Zara's Princess – the winner of the event. 

Millara's Money – The frequency of racing was discussed with Trainer Ms R.Brown – Stewards noted these comments.

My Maddy was quick to begin. 

Cindy's Kyle was slow to begin. 

Letterfrack Lady was quick to begin. Back Pay and Market Moves were slow to begin. 

It was noted that the muzzle of Sunset Tara became dislodged during the running of the event.

Sunset Tara – Proved difficult to box and will be boxed first in future events in accordance with GAR 106.

Jet Fighter was quick to begin. Market Mate was slow to begin.

Holiday In Paris – Late scratching at 1:40pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to a left toe injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
