Steward's Report
Birdbrook and Udellar Bale were quick to begin. Itchy Kaala was slow to begin.
Birdbrook underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no injury reported. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr A. Mooney regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Birdbrook was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Mooney pleaded guilty to the charge. Birdbrook is suspended for 28 days at Ballarat only and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted. Mr. Mooney indicated the greyhound would be retired.
