Gunai Bold underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to representative Wade Green regarding Gunai Bold's racing manners the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 Gunai Bold was charged with marring. Mr. Green pled guilty to the charge, Gunai Bold was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a satisfactory Trial/s in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
