Steward's Report
My Heartbreaker and Kasumi Berry were quick to begin.
Kasumi Berry (turned heads head outwards approaching the home turn) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left elbow. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Trainer Ms M.Berry regarding Kasumi Berry’s racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Kasumi Berry was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Berry pleaded guilty to the charge, Kasumi Berry was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Molly's Fantasy (turned its head outwards approaching the winning post) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 6, no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr Steven VanTaarling regarding Molly's Fantasy’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Molly's Fantasy was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr VanTaarling pleaded guilty to the charge, Molly's Fantasy was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
