Steward's Report
Moonlight Kiss was slow to begin.
Ocean Explorer (marred Spring Hondo in the home straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg abraded paw. Stewards spoke to Kennel Representative Mr. P. Martinovic regarding Ocean Explorer's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Ocean Explorer was charged with marring. Mr. Martinovic pled guilty to the charge. Ocean Explorer was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race blood sample was taken from Orson Reiko - the winner of the event.
