Steward's Report
Mr Des Douch was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound, Here Comes Artie pursuant to GAR 88.
Always My Heart was galloped on and subsequently lost gound approaching the 250m mark, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have left foreleg shin soreness. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Liam Coin was severely checked approaching the 250m mark, underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Ms Kate Gorman via telephone, the trainer of Always My Heart after they left the course today without Stewards permission and without having the greyhound vetted following the event. Stewards issued Ms Gorman with a warning pursuant to GAR 94(2) and directed Ms Gorman to produce Always My Heart at the Traralgon Greyhound Racing Club for a veterinary examination.
