Capital Gain – Late scratching at 6.24pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to diarrhea. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
A pre–race sample was taken from Utami Bale.
Keech and Compton Bale were slow to begin.
A post-race sample was taken from Compton Bale - the winner of the event.
Utami Bale (checked and contacted the rail turning off the back straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
