Steward's Report
A pre–race sample was taken from Flying Farrugia.
Sir Bingo and Bare Knuckles were quick to begin. Ten Pineapples was slow to begin.
Flying Farrugia (marred Bare Knuckles approaching the winning post) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 7. Flying Farrugia was found to have soreness to the right triangle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr. K. Lloyd regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 Flying Farrugia was charged with marring. Mr Lloyd pled not guilty to the charge, Flying Farrugia was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat only and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
