Steward's Report
A sample was taken from Dusty Moet upon arrival at the course.
Pyrenees Blazer and Liverpool Street were quick to begin. Jorgy, Daisy Giblet and Johnny Daniels were slow to begin.
A post–race sample was taken from Jorgy – the winner of the event.
Dusty Moet (marred Mini Minion approaching the winning post) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hock sprain. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Cole Brett regarding Dusty Moet’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 Dusty Moet was charged with marring. Mr Brett pled guilty to the charge, Dusty Moet was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat only and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted. Mr Brett indicated that the greyhound would have a spell.
