Preview Gift was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Crash Sandy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustaine a right hock injury; a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to D. Wheeler, the trainer of the greyhound Crash Sandy.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Crash Sandy with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment and suspended the greyhound for 3 months (all tracks) and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Bella Broccoli was slow to begin. Loyal Miss checked off Magic Mossard approaching the first turn, checking Giggly Girl, Uno Nando and severely checking Jet Mikado and Mr. Crumpet. Jet Mikado and Giggly Girl collided entering the home straight. Uno Nando checked off Bella Broccoli in the home straight.

Midnight Reign, Northern Holly, China Plate and Brooklyn Cruiser were slow to begin. Northern Holly and Feen Dish collided soon after the start, checking Northern Holly. China Plate and Northern Holly collided approaching the first turn, checking Northern Holly. Midnight Reign and China Plate collided on the first turn, checking China Plate. Brooklyn Cruiser crossed to the rail approaching the home turn, checking Cool Rod and Feen Dish. Midnight Reign and Brooklyn Cruiser collided on the home turn, checking Midnight Reign. The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Lioness Lulu and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 5:05pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer C. Hayes was fined the sum of $100.

El Jay Torana was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right thigh and calf injury; a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

C. Mizzi trainer of Canny Catch It redeclared a new weight of 29.7kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Canny Catch It last raced at 28.6kg.

Corrine was quick to begin. Canny Catch It and Zafonic Beach were slow to begin. Canny Catch It checked off Starzar Born soon after the start. Akina Wally checked off Corrine approaching the first turn. Akina Wally and Election Promise collided on the home turn. My Wish and Corrine collided on the home turn. Zafonic Beach and Canny Catch It collided on the home turn, checking Canny Catch It.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Races 9-12 were all put back two races as a result of the tractor being used to prepare the track prior to race 9 leaking diesel fuel. This necessitated the removal of all the affected sand from the track prior to it being brushed. The race times were amended as follows:

Race 9- 8:51pm

Race10- 9:09pm

Race 11- 9:28pm

Race 12- 9:44pm
