Hey Sexy Lady was slow to begin. Black Cadel and Specify collided soon after the start. Black Cadel, Specify and Another City collided approaching the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Bet Bet May checked off Betty's Moment on the first turn. Black Cadel, Specify, Another City and Hey Sexy Lady collided on the first turn checking Black Cadel and Specify. Another City and Hey Sexy Lady collided approaching the home turn. Black Cadel, Hey Sexy Lady and Specify collided on the home turn severely checking all three greyhounds.
Specify was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Hey Sexy Lady was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right pencil muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Black Cadel was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a post race diaphragmatic flutter, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Gary Peach, the trainer of Black Cadel and advised him that the greyhound would be closely monitored in future events.
