Bowstreet Buster, Oriental Outlaw, Zeb The Hippy and Amer Fort collided soon after the start. Bowstreet Buster checked off Amer Fort in the home straight. Bowstreet Buster and Zeb The Hippy collided approaching the winning post.
Weekend Gangster was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right triceps and both pectoral muscles, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Zeb The Hippy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a possible fracture to the stopper bone as well as a right front toe wound, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Miss Gaga was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Stewards spoke to Mr J. Formosa, Trainer of Miss Gaga. Stewards deemed the performance of the greyhound unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Miss Gaga must perform a Satisfactory Trial, All Tracks, before any future nomination will be accepted.
