Tonto's Mate was slow to begin. Maybe Vegas and Irish Asteria collided on the first turn. Why Not Lucy and Acola Ebony collided on the first turn checking Acola Ebony. Why Not Lucy, Tonto's Mate and Irish Asteria collided approaching the home turn checking Why Not Lucy and Tonto's Mate. Maybe Vegas galloped on the heels of Garga Mill entering the home straight and stumbled as a result. Irish Asteria and Garga Mill collided approaching the winning post.
Why Not Lucy was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
