Pheasant Wood was quick to begin. Teddy Hitchcock and Redshift Romeo were slow to begin.
Johnny Giraffe was galloped on by Akina Jazz approaching the 250m and subsequently fell, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have right tibia fracture. Johnny Giraffe was humanely euthanised.
Barcia Beach fell in the catching pen, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have left long head triceps muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Pheasant Wood underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hind foot webbing infection. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
