Steward's Report
Aston Bundy was quick to begin.
Aston Bundy visibly eased in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg long head triceps injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms Kayla Cottrell regarding Aston Bundy’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Aston Bundy was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Cottrell pleaded guilty to the charge, Aston Bundy was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post–race sample was taken from Mepunga Gold – the winner of the event.
