Steward's Report
Pi Grange, La La Missouri and Chasing Honey were quick to begin. Spellman was slow to begin.
Chasing Honey (galloped on leaving the back straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no injury detected.
Flying Speed (eased approaching the winning post) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hip muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr. T. Erenshaw regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Flying Speed was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Erenshaw pleaded guilty to the charge. Flying Speed must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
