Bebop Giblet was quick to begin. Zipping Luda and Flip Your Fifty were slow to begin.
Kanji Xinji marred Never Be Alone turning into the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left calf injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Thomas Dailly regarding Kanji Xinji's racing manners. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Kanji Xinji was charged with marring. Mr. Dailly pleaded guilty to the charge. Kanji Xinji was suspended for 28 days at The Meadows only and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Pryor Bale marred Kanji Xinji approaching the winning post, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left carpal sprain. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mrs. Rebecca Gibbons regarding Pryor Bale’s racing manners. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Pryor Bale was charged with marring. Mrs. Gibbons pleaded not guilty to the charge. Pryor Bale was found guilty and was suspended for 28 days at The Meadows only and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Pryor Bale - the winner of the event.
