Steward's Report
Dr. Evergrenn – Late scratching at 17:50 on the advice of the On– Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to a laceration. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Rowcliffe Ruslie was quick to begin. Dr. Valor and Cinderella Story were slow to begin.
Dr. Valor underwent a post–race veterinary examination due to frequency of racing and was found to have a right triangle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. The frequency of racing was discussed with kennel representative Ms. Jennifer Gill, the comments were noted.
Cinderella Story underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg split webbing. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Corey Fulford regarding the greyhound pulling up prior to the return gate and failing to enter the catching pen. Stewards noted that Cinderella Story had failed to enter the catching pen at Traralgon on the 13th of March 2023 and was issued with a warning on that occasion. Acting in accordance with GAR 129 and being mindful of the safety of Cinderella Story, other greyhounds in the race, staff and participants, Stewards were not satisfied with the performance and placed Cinderella Story on a satisfactory trial under GAR 129, and pursuant to GAR 132, with the condition that Cinderella Story must run past the return gate in order to pass the satisfactory trial, before future nominations will be accepted.
