A pre–race sample was taken from Silent Majority.
Market Moves and Down So Long were slow to begin.
Silent Majority (turned it's head outwards and marred Tess Cabang soon after the start), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a toe injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Richard Gray regarding Silent Majority’s racing manners soon after the start. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Silent Majority was charged with marring. Mr Gray pleaded guilty to the charge. Silent Majority is suspended for 28 days at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
