This event was delayed by approximately 4 minutes due to an operational matter.
Woodleigh Bluey, My Romper and Buddy's Mate were slow out.
Bomber's Demon marred Quota Bale soon after the start and Bomber's Demon visably eased in the home straight , underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left shin soreness and left and right Quadriseps injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Geoffrey Green regarding Bomber's Demon’s racing manners soon after the start. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 Bombers Demon was charged with marring. Mr. Green pled guilty to the charge, Bomber's Demon was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
