Steward's Report
Pursuant to the GRV Hot Weather Policy, the Stewards dispensed with two requirements prior to Race 8 meaning greyhounds were no longer required to remain on course for the specified time and that the parading of greyhounds was to occur, as the outside temperature had decreased to a reasonable level.
Minor Ash, Hot Scotch and Rejuvenate were quick to begin.
Hot Scotch was checked and lost ground in the back straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
A post–race sample was taken from Rejuvenate – the winner of the event in a new track record of 24.590.
