A post–race sample was taken from Aston Figaro – the winner of the event.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Mark Giddings regarding King Con’s racing manners in entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 King Con was charged with marring. Mr Giddings pled guilty to the charge, King Con was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
