Steward's Report
Ohana Brockie was slow to begin. Nicola Rose went up with the lids and was very slow to begin (3 Lengths).
Mac's Damage galloped on Round Here at the 150m mark and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Round Here was galloped on by Mac's Damage and subsequently fell, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right fore biceps brachii injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Ohana Brockie marred Gero Lads approaching the winning post, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a shin soreness and a left back muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Raymond Floyd regarding Ohana Brockie’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 Ohana Brockie was charged with marring. Mr Floyd reserved his right to enter a plea. Ohana Brockie was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post–race sample was taken from Cool Summer – the winner of the event.
