Steward's Report
Brainy and Dusty Old Road were slow to begin.
Brainy - Marred Mt. View Bentley on the first turn and Queen Of Shiraz approaching the winning post. Brainy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have neck soreness and a left monkey muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms Sue Northway regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn and again approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 Brainy was charged with marring. Ms Northway pled not guilty to the charge, Brainy was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
