Steward's Report
Aston Sergio was a late scratching at 10:53am by order of Stewards after it was established that the incorrect greyhound had been presented. At inquiry, the Stewards issued a charge under GAR 86 to trainer, Mr David Condon for failing to present the correct greyhound to the Stewards for this event. Mr Condon pled guilty to the charge and was fined $250. The 28-day stand–down on Aston Sergio was revoked.
Into The Dark – New declared weight of 36.4kg, last raced at 35.3kg.
Gastrocnemius was quick to begin. Smart Talk was slow to begin.
Kraken Alby faltered near the 250m mark and subsequently pulled up. Kraken Alby underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left deltoid and left chest muscle injuries. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Smart Talk underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle, right triangle and right hip muscle injuries. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track from the 350m to the 200m mark and deemed it satisfactory for racing.
