Fabriola Yanis – Proved difficult to load at the start and will be boxed first in future events in accordance with GAR 106.
Dewana Burger, Fabriola Yanis and Apache Shout were slow to begin.
A post–race sample was taken from Deep Fever - winner of the event.
Arkansas was checked when rounding the turn into the back straight and subsequently fell, taking no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed abrasions on the nose. No stand down period was imposed.
