Steward's Report
In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 26 degrees and the kennel temperature was 16.7 degrees. The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.
Little Easy – Late scratching at 7.02am when Mr. Jason Portelli reported the greyhound to have an elevated temperature (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.
Mjolnir To Burn, Hedging and Ziggy Boy were slow to begin.
A post-race sample was taken from Ziggy Boy - the winner of the event.
