Space Cabang – New declared weight of 34.6kg, last raced at 33.3kg.
Mini Minion was slow to begin.
Back Pay (marred the running of My Maddy in the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have left shin soreness. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Kennel Representative Mr A.Debattista regarding Back Pay’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 Back Pay was charged with marring. Mr Debattista pleaded guilty to the charge, Back Pay was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post–race sample was taken from Blue Scotch Boy – the winner of the event.
