Steward's Report
Pursuant to GAR 75(7), Steward Ms D. Barber did not act in any official capacity for this event.
Samples were taken from Mighty Moose, Ocean Beast and Fletchie Boy upon arrival at the course.
Pre-race samples were taken from Gotham Prince, Mediator and Try Catch Up.
Mighty Moose turned its head outwards on home turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right groin injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms Maria Barber regarding Mighty Moose's racing manners turning into the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Mighty Moose was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms. Barber pleaded guilty to the charge and Mighty Moose must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
