Minter Delight was quick to begin.
Rio Blazer contacted the running rail on the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising on the left hind and left foreleg. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Parumba Mighty was severely checked on the first turn, subsequently tailed off and underwent a post–race veterinary examination. Parumba Mighty was found to have a right metatarsal injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
A post–race sample was taken from Ohana Paw Patrol – the winner of the event.
