Holding Pattern was a late scratching at 10.29am by order of Stewards after it was established that the incorrect greyhound had been presented. At inquiry, the Stewards issued a charge under GAR 86 to Trainer, Mr. C. Treherne, for failing to present the correct greyhound to the Stewards for this event. Mr. Treherne pled guilty to the charge, and was fined $250. The 28-day stand–down on Holding Pattern was revoked.

Stewards spoke to Representative - Mr. Graham Julian of Quest Of Fame after the greyhound underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a seizure following the finish of the event. Acting under the provisions of GAR 42, Quest For Fame is prohibited from competing in an event until such time as both a veterinary clearance is provided to the satisfaction of Stewards and a satisfactory trial is completed, pursuant to GAR 132. Further, under the provisions of GAR 42 (3), Quest For Fame is suspended from racing for 28 days at all tracks. 

Killer Bee Cammy was quick to begin. Aston Finlay was slow to begin.

A sample was taken from Hey Wags upon arrival at the course.

Lily Luna Potter was quick to begin. Ubiquitousness and Returning Tide were slow to begin. 

Lily Luna Potter (fell after the finish), and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.

A sample was taken from Granite County upon arrival at the course. 

Stopped Short was quick to begin. 

Granite Country (contacted the running rail in the back straight), and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.

Stealth was quick to begin.

Redzin – Late scratching at 08:01am when Trainer - Mr.Patrick Burley reported the greyhound to be injured (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted

Marriage Over was slow to begin.

A post-race sample was taken from Winnindoo Wendy, the winner of the event.

Clips and My Bonneville were quick to begin.

A post-race sample was taken from Dirt Farmer, the winner of the event.

Argyle Emma was quick to begin. Colden Mina was slow to begin. 

Ms. Michelle Mallia failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Aston Autumn for racing. A fine of $100 was issued pursuant to GAR 97(2).

Pure Excess was quick to begin. Cosmic Bruce and Uncle Rocky were slow to begin. 

Uncle Rocky (turned its head outwards in the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have an elbow injury.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Representative - Mr. N Koutsourakis regarding the racing manners of Uncle Rocky in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Uncle Rocky was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Koutsourakis pled guilty to the charge, Uncle Rocky ]was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was taken from Slingshot Woody.

Mighty Water Boy (severely checked on the first turn) underwent a post-race veterinary examination.  It was reported the greyhound sustained an abdominal muscle injury.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Claretown Ann (severely checked on the first turn and stumbled approaching the home turn) underwent a post-race veterinary examination.  It was reported the greyhound sustained a scapula fracture.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

There were no reportable incidents in the event.

Aston Rozee – Marring – Field of 4, Distance 400m, Weight 34.0kg, Box 1, Placed 2nd, Time Run 22.921 – Comment: Cleared All Tracks except Bendigo.

Tessa Poppy – Marring – Field of 4, Distance 400m, Weight 29.9kg, Box 8, Placed 1st, Time Run 22.848 – Comment:  Cleared All Tracks except Ballarat.
