Steward's Report
In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 33.6 degrees and the kennel temperature was 17.7 degrees. The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.
Nobody's Perfect was quick to begin. Cookie Crumble was slow to begin.
Irish Rock (contacted the rail and fell on the first turn) underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Whirlwind Fire (checked on the first turn by the fallen greyhound) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist sprain. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
A post–race sample was taken from Nobody's Perfect – the winner of the event.
