Steward's Report
Samples were taken from Fabs Udon, Jebediah, Sudoku Cobra and It's A Brew upon arrival at the course.
Pre–race samples were taken from Motive, Gladki and Aston Tango.
Gladki was quick to begin. Motive and Fabs Udon were slow to begin.
Motive turned its head inwards in the home straight and collided with It's A Brew. Motive underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left carpal sprain. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative, Mr L Thompson regarding the racing manners of Motive in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Motive was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Thompson pleaded guilty to the charge, Motive was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
