Steward's Report
My Catalina – Late scratching at 3:49 pm due to non–arrival (GAR 86 and LR 39). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr Arthur Garrat informed Stewards that he had a vehicle breakdown on–route to the track. Stewards advised Mr Garrat that evidence of the breakdown will need to be submitted, to the satisfaction of Stewards, within 72 hours of the occurrence that caused the non–arrival. The matter will be re–evaluated upon receipt of this evidence
Jarick Bale and Osprey Storm were slow to begin
Jarick Bale checked and faltered first turn and tailed off, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg fibula injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
A post–race sample was taken from Osprey Storm – the winner of the event.
