Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Aussie Showgirl.
Very Unstable was very slow to begin (6 lengths turned it's head inwards soon after the start and tailed off) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left trapezius muscle injury.. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Darren Petersen regarding Very Unstable’s racing manners soon after the start. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Very Unstable was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Petersen pled guilty to the charge, Very Unstable was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
