Midnight Rocker and Under Arrest were slow to begin.
Zipping Aura fell entering the front straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg carpal sprain injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Hurricane Harry was severely checked on the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re-vetted following race 10. Hurricane Harry was found to have a right hindleg groin injury along with injuries to the chest muscles and right hindleg fibula. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Cameron Bahen regarding the racing manners of Midnight Rocker in the home straight.
