Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Tabasco Lad.
Blue Cherry Miss was quick to begin.
Blue Cherry Miss lost ground in the back straight, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left chest muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Nathan Hunt regarding the greyhound's disappointing overall performance in today's event. Mr. Hunt further advised Stewards that Blue Cherry Miss lacked race fitness for today's event. Mr. Hunt advised Stewards that, in future, he will seek to improve the greyhound's fitness prior to nominating for similar events. Stewards informed Mr. Hunt that, should Blue Cherry Miss be nominated in a similar event in future, and put in a similar performance to that seen in today's event, the greyhound may be placed on a satisfactory trial for unsatisfactory performance, pursuant to GAR 129.
