Steward's Report
Mr C Baker failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Urana Vieri for racing. A $100 fine was issued pursuant to GAR 97(2).
Inga Letty, Cold Diesel, Urana Vieri and Filorga Bale were quick to begin. Inda Indigo was slow to begin.
Ajmer underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr P Fulton regarding the greyhound pulling up prior to the return gate and failing to enter the catching pen. Stewards noted that Ajmer had failed to enter the catching pen at Warrnambool on 07.07.22 and was issued with a warning on that occasion. Acting in accordance with GAR 129 and being mindful of the safety of Ajmer, other greyhounds in the race, staff and participants, Stewards were not satisfied with the performance and placed Ajmer on a satisfactory trial under GAR 129, and pursuant to GAR 132, with the condition that Ajmer must run past the return gate in order to pass the satisfactory trial, before future nominations will be accepted.
