All persons attending today wore facemasks when required, checked in, observed social distance requirements, and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

The Stewards were advised that the track was deeply harrowed on 16th of March.

A sample was taken from Rothwell Elzinga at the trainer’s kennel earlier today. 

Vortex – In accordance with GAR 73, presented for a re-vet at the conclusion of kennelling as the greyhound was found to be injured at Bendigo on 12 March.  Vortex was examined by the on-track veterinarian and found to be free from injury.  Vortex was Cleared to race.  

Rothwell Elzinga was slow to begin.

Patchy Walloper and Jamaica Me Happy collided soon after the start. Patchy Walloper checked off Jamaica Me Happy on the first turn. Hosey Sidekick and Master Spencer collided on the first turn checking Master Spencer. Panadero Warrior crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Myrniong Blue. Master Spencer checked off Jamaica Me Happy approaching the home turn. Just Shout and Patchy Walloper collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds. Jamaica Me Happy checked off Hosey Sidekick in the home straight. 

Myrniong Blue underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Mathieson regarding the racing manners of Myrniong Blue approaching the winning post. After hearing evidence from Mr Mathieson, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.

Global Fix- Late scratching at 6.21pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a papilloma.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Hunter Grange and Ava's Journey were slow to begin.

Bolter's Grange checked off Maximum Ang on the first turn. Maggie Bow galloped on Maximum Ang on the first turn checking Maggie Bow and Maximum Ang. Hunter Grange checked off Bolter's Grange on the first turn checking Buzz Out.

Chloe's China was quick to begin.

Rothwell Chunk checked off Reality Infrared approaching the first turn. Crackerjack Dean and Blue Tequila collided on the first turn checking Blue Tequila. Johnny Fatboy checked off Reality Infrared entering the back straight. Fighting Boxer and Reality Infrared collided in the back straight. Crackerjack Dean checked off Chloe's China on the second turn. 

Pat May Joy was slow to begin.

Miss Pistolero and Denis The Menace collided approaching the first turn checking Denis The Menace. Miss Pistolero and Our Maxie Boy collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn checking Miss Pistolero. Ordelia Bale checked off Our Maxie Boy on the home turn. Weblec Opal raced wide in the home straight. 

Mr. Blue Sky – Late scratching at 12.17pm when Mr. M. Marshall reported the greyhound to have Diarrhoea (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Very Jiggling and Cherokee Slider were slow to begin.

Inside Job and Rattling Rosie collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn checking Rattling Rosie. Nana Judy and Very Jiggling collided approaching the first turn. Nana Judy checked off Out For Glory approaching the first turn, colliding with Very Jiggling. 

Paper Plane and Orson Ruby were slow to begin.

Our Shout, Pie Night and Habib collided soon after the start checking Pie Night and Habib. Paper Plane checked off Orson Ruby approaching the first turn. Habib faltered approaching the home turn checking Paper Plane. Paper Plane checked off Straight Shooter approaching the winning post.

Habib underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Ice Star.

Wow Star, Ice Star and Double Tactic were quick to begin.

Bingo Ringo checked off the heels of Ice Star approaching the home turn, colliding with Double Tactic. Bluenose Best raced wide throughout the event.

Destroy We Said and Trojan Package collided approaching the first turn. Willy Can Do and Rainbow City collided on the first turn checking Rainbow City and Destroy We Said. Rainbow City and Trojan Package raced wide entering the home straight. Willy Can Do raced wide in the home straight.

Mystic Rose crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Zipping Demi and Sagrantino. Mystic Rose checked off Summer Alarm on the home turn. Summer Alarm and Courteous Reiko collided approaching the winning post checking Summer Alarm.
