Steward's Report
The Stewards discussed the frequency of racing of Good Boy Colombo with Mr. Lui Forte and noted their comments.
Big City Nights - Slow to begin.
Lead the Way visibly eased and turned it's head inwards on the home turn. Lead the Way underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left carpal sprain injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Trevor Whitford, trainer regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1),Lead the Way was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Trevor Whitford pleaded not guilty to the charge, Lead the Way was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Good Boy Colombo - A post-race sample was taken (3rd)
There was no head on vision in the back straight for this event.
