Run Sophie Run was slow to begin.  Marralita checked off Kimberley Prince on the first turn.  Grassy Rocks checked off Dyna Incite approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.  Run Sophie Run checked off Grassy Rocks on the home turn.

El Nielo was a late scratching at 2:26pm due weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Mr. A. McNamara was fined the sum of $100.

Natie's Girl and Riverside Mary were quick to begin.  Internationlist and Loretta collided soon after the start.  Yo Yoshi and Hillview Jake collided on the first turn.  Yo Yoshi checked off Hillview Jake approaching the home turn.  Cheap Rush checked off Yo Yoshi approaching the home turn.  Hillview Jake checked off Natie's Girl on the home turn.  Internationlist raced wide entering the home straight.

Stunning View checked off Sansa approaching the first turn.  Layton Boss and Dyna Drama collided on the first turn checking Layton Boss.  Flushette and Crowbar collided on the first turn.  Crowbar checked off Stunning View on the first turn.  Woodland Jack and Sansa collided approaching the home turn.  Layton Boss checked off Stunning View approaching the home turn.  Layton Boss raced wide in the home straight.

Mr. V. Gay, trainer of Phil Mieski redeclared a new weight of 34.1kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAT 39(2).  Phil Mieski last raced at 33.0kgs.

Team Player was slow to begin.  Purely Brindle and Fire Maple Song collided soon after the start.  Southwood Juma checked off Ronny Colins approaching the first turn.  Whiz Kid, Southwood Juma, Lily Quest and Team Player collided on the first turn checking all four greyhounds.  Team Player checked off Purely Brindle in the home straight.

Team Player was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Dazzle Allen and Twirly Bird were slow to begin.  Strike The Spike checked off Dazzle Allen on the first turn.  We're Hopeful and Strike The Spike collided approaching the home turn checking We're Hopeful, Gracie's Guess and Twirly Bird; Twirly Bird raced wide as a result.

Stewards spoke to Ms. R. Green regarding her difficulty in boxing the greyhound Gracie's Guess.  Stewards directed that Gracie's Guess be boxed first in future events.

Phil Miwolet stumbled soon after the start and lost considerable ground as a result.  Loud Pockets and Stunning Show collided soon after the start checking Stunning Show.  Belena Lad and Feen Dish collided approaching the first turn.  Belena Lad checked off Feen Dish approaching the home turn.  Belena Lad galloped on the heels of Feen DIsh entering the home straight checking both greyhounds.  Stunning Show and Feen Dish collided approaching the winning post.

Following the event Loud Pockets displayed signs of Post Exercise Distress Syndrome (PEDS).  As a result the greyhound was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound displayed clinical signs of Ataxia/Hypermetria.  No stand down penalty was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Jeffries, the trainer of Loud Pockets and advised him that the greyhound would be closely monitored in future events.

Elswyk Miss was quick to begin.  Chechezz and Star Tastic were slow to begin.  Red Bomber checked off Euphoric on the first turn checking Northern Emma and Chechezz.  Euphoric and Battle Flame collided on the home turn.
