Chainsaw Charlie, Black Swamp and Little Bit More were slow to begin. Dyna Synch, Contrive and Bovelo collided soon after the start, checking Contrive and Bovelo. Bovelo and Chainsaw Charlie collided on the first turn, checking Bovelo. Little Bit More galloped on the heels of Fauna Allen on the first turn, checking Little Bit More, Bovelo and Chainsaw Charlie. Little Bit More checked off Black Swamp approaching the home turn. Allen Grundy and Dyna Synch collided entering the home straight.
