Cornelius Fudge was slow to begin. Brent Bale and Hawk Alone collided soon after the start. Hawk Alone, Surf Mail and Mepunga Armagh collided approaching the first turn checking Surf Mail. Roy Galo and Surf Mail collided on the first turn. Cornelius Fudge, Roy Galo and Surf Mail collided approaching the second turn checking Roy Galo and Surf Mail. Cornelius Fudge and Brent Bale collided in the home straight.
Surf Mail was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the left hind, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
