Classic Touch and Wild Junction were quick to begin.

Zelko Spolly - Late scratching at 18:17pm on the advice of the on-track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a right shoulder laceration.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Rapid Voyage, a post-race sample was subsequently taken.

Dwarshuis and Bel Air Storm were slow to begin.

Rapid Voyage, Montaro and Lady Rozina Hook collided approaching the first turn.  Prada Gem and Billy Bob Jordan collided on the first turn severely checking Billy Bob Jordan.  Prada Gem and Rapid Voyage collided on the first turn causing Dwarshuis to gallop on Rapid Voyage checking Rapid Voyage.  Rapid Voyage checked off Bel Air Storm on the first turn; Rapid Voyage fell as a result.

Rapid Voyage underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Aston Resort and Aston Fraiche were slow to begin.

Aston Resort checked off Dr. Danika on the first turn.  Aston Resort and Aston Fraiche collided on the first turn.  Mac Rooster and Airly Cleaner collided on the first turn.  Annie Rose checked off Mac Rooster on the first turn.  Annie Rose and Aston Fraiche collided approaching the home turn.

A post-race sample was taken from Jet Lee Rose - the winner of the event.

Almighty Mack, Bomber's Train and Double On Ice were slow to begin.

Bully Bar checked off Almighty Mack on the first turn severely checking Bully Bar, Dr. Lexie, Bomber's Train and Double On Ice.  Almighty Mack clipped the heels of My Shout approaching the home turn.  System Issues and Rio Bonnie collided entering the home straight and again approaching the winning post checking System Issues.  Double On Ice and Bully Bar raced wide in the home straight.

How High Austin - Proved difficult to box and will be boxed first in future events in accordance with GAR 52. 

Zippy Customer was slow to begin.

How High Austin and Elswyk Shadow collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn.  Elmo Rose and Bomber's Smokey collided on the first turn checking Bomber's Smokey.  How High Austin clipped the heels of Bomber's Smokey approaching the home turn checking How High Austin.  Elmo Rose and Bowie collided entering the home straight checking Elmo Rose.

Mr Barry Toner requested an early race endorsement for Sweet Sorrow.  The Stewards approved the request after an examination prior to racing by the on-track Veterinarian.  Sweet Sorrow will compete in early races until further notice.

Rookie Mistake and Big Bird Rose were slow to begin.

Good Boy Colombo and Zeki collided soon after the start checking Good Boy Colombo.  Sweet Sorrow and Freeman's Hope collided approaching the first turn checking Freeman's Hope.  Rookie Mistake raced wide in the home straight.
