A pre-race sample was taken from Unassuming.
Slingshot Zoe, Unassuming and My Name's Nipper were slow to begin.
Unassuming clipped the heels of Zoe Zoomer approaching the first turn severely checking Unassuming. Red Fog and Mischief Lass collided on the first turn checking Red Fog. Red Fog and Zoe Zoomer collided on the first turn checking Zoe Zoomer. Zoe Zoomer and My Name's Nipper collided approaching the home turn. Unassuming raced wide on the home turn and again in the home straight and tailed off.
Mischief Lass underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.
Unassuming underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms. Nicole Lummas regarding the racing manners of Mischief Lass approaching the winning post. After hearing evidence from Ms. Lummas, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.
